• Sanjo’s Social Worker’s Association (SSWA)


    Sanjo’s Social Worker’s Association provides students with different and valuable opportunities to enhance their professional skills, knowledge and attitudes outside the classroom. Beyond an academic degree, the association provides opportunities for the students to develop interpersonal skills, self-esteem and human values and mould them as responsible citizens. It focuses on making a difference in society. Social workers act as a change agent in society. Social Workers are highly demanded in different settings including non-governmental organizations, hospitals and special clinics, counselling centres, schools, research organizations, industries etc. So the students will be enabled to grab opportunities in India as well as in foreign countries like Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand and USA.

  • Objectives


    • To get an exposure to one’s area of interest and build up the capacity of being self- directed.
    • To develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that advance social work practices.
    • To improve communication and leadership skills of students.
    • To develop a positive attitude towards self and others.
    • To acquire and develop skills in observation, planning, organising, analytical learning, teamwork, recording and evaluation.
    • To provide an opportunity for students to participate in the process of networking with other agencies / organizations working in areas related to social issues/ problems.
